I’ve started work on ‘Barley Top’, a collection of poems by my father from various books of his. In the manner of ‘The Matter of Britain’, I have recorded him reading his poetry and am setting it to music.

I’ll be playing a short set/ambient backing to launch my father’s exhibition of paintings, some time in February 2011, somewhere in Todmorden, West Yorkshire. More, less-vague news to follow.

I've also just finished the music for the BBC’s ‘Dambusters Declassified’ TV programme. The half-hour edited version of this one-hour programme will be broadcast on BBC1 on Mon 13 September at 7.30pm.

I’ll be playing a set at Penelope’s in Sheffield. Assuming the god of Volcanoes (or Ryanair) doesn’t hamper my return from Poland. All part of showing my support for the lovely Dyonisis and the launch of their excellent Intoxicated album, on which I have added strings to one of its tracks, Eve’s Song.

I’ve also been commissioned to make music for the new film ‘Where Her Dreams End’, directed by João Paulo Simões, A Frontier Media Production. The film has been cast, and shooting starts next week.
