Matt Howden

I use my own name for my instrumental releases. ‘Sieben’ is my main project for my looped violin, song-based material. My instrumental releases have been mainly ‘neo-classical’ in style – for want of a better term. ‘Soundtrack’ is the word that crops up most often, I suppose, when people describe this music. 2009 saw the last MH release, ‘The Matter of Britain’, for which I wrote the music to accompany my father reading his poems. My next MH release may well also be another issue like this; my music and CD, with my father’s poems and illustrations. I’ll also be continuing my soundtrack work for film and TV.
